The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, August 8, 2019, takes place primarily at Kyle and Lola’s engagement party, where Sharon sees Rey… but leaves with Billy, where Kyle calls Theo out over past sins, and Summer and Abby really go at it. Plus, Conner and Anita return to Genoa City!
Anita (Catherine Bach) brings Conner back to town. Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) offers her a million dollars and is surprised when her mom turns it down. Anita wants to know why Chelsea is with Nick (Joshua Morrow) and not Adam (Mark Grossman). Chelsea says Adam has changed. Later, Chelsea tells Conner she wants them to live in Genoa City. Her son wonders why.
Sharon (Sharon Case) and Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) aren’t pleased to see each other at Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Lola’s (Sasha Calle) engagement party. Sharon says she doesn’t want to discuss Adam and leaves. Billy (Jason Thompson) also doesn’t want to stick around long. He and Sharon take off and reconnect later. He admits he’s been talking to Delia, and Sharon wonders if he thinks ghosts are real.
At the Party
Theo (Nic Lucan) makes a toast at the party which Kyle cuts off. Theo challenges that it’s almost like he doesn’t want Kyle to say something. The two get into a fight over a 17-year-old girl who almost died… and parents Kyle needed to pay off.
At the same time, Summer (Hunter King) is mocking the video Mariah (Camryn Grimes) put together of Kyle and Lola as kids. Summer scoffs at the attempt to paint them like some great love story.
Abby (Melissa Ordway) calls her out on it, which leads to Summer taunting Abby about all the men she’s gone through – including Austin. There is the talk of pots and black kettles, and then Summer pours ice water over Abby’s head. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listing for air times.
