The Young and the Restless Recap: Victor Invokes Newman Privilege In Court!

 Comments

The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, February 28 was opening day in court. Sharon had her own lawyer, while Michael continued to insist on his conservative strategy.

Victor spoke up without permission, while Rey decided not to speak, and Mariah spoke up where she wasn’t wanted, with surprising results!

Opening Bell
Summer (Hunter King) asked Nick (Joshua Morrow) to be more understanding of Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), and the two headed to court. Brittany (Lauren Woodland) was there to represent Sharon (Sharon Case) and her interests, in case the Newmans decided to turn on Nick’s former wife.

When Christine (Lauralee Bell) laid out the facts of the case, Victor rudely interrupted that it was all a lie and she had it in for his family. The judge ordered Victor to leave. There will be no Newman privilege in this court!

Keeping Mum
Mia (Noemi Gonzalez) kept making big, sad eyes at Rey (Jordi Vilasuso), sobbing about how sorry she was about what happened with Lola (Sasha Calle), but Rey wouldn’t want their baby to be born in prison, would he? (Honestly, does baby care where it’s born? It’s a baby!)

What do you think? Post a comment!

Rey finally agreed to keep mum (ha, see what we did there!) about Mia nearly killing Lola, and to try to make it work with Mia. He also wanted to go to all her doctor’s appointments! Eh… not yet, Mia said.

Camera Ready
Kyle (Michael Mealor) lamented to Mariah (Camryn Grimes) about Lola needing a liver transplant for her head injury, so Mariah brought in a camera crew to plead for donors. Kyle worried Arturo (Jason Canela) would be mad, but he was touched and allowed Kyle to visit with Lola.

Later, Kyle learned he was not a donor match. (Who wants to bet it’ll be Mia? But what about the “baby,” in that case?)
