The Young and the Restless fans just watched Mariah throw an anniversary party for Tessa. But it wasn’t their wedding anniversary, just the anniversary of their moving in together.
(I guess we’re skipping the part where Mariah moved out when she found out Tessa was blackmailing her mother and hiding the money in a suitcase and teddy bear in their house.)
Everyone told them what a wonderful couple they are. Mariah (Camryn Grimes) even wrote a poem! So should this happy could tie the knot for real? What almost 6,000 viewers are rooting for:
The Young and the Restless: Couple Excitement?
Mariah and Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) were interesting when Tessa seemed to be scamming Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor (Eric Braeden). They were interesting adjacent during the where oh, where is my sister human trafficking tale. And then they at least had something to play when Tessa stole Mariah’s song and was messing with her family over JT’s (Thad Luckinbill) death.

Now, they… uh… What? Tessa sings songs — mostly at Abby’s (Melissa Ordway) club now that her producer, Ana (Loren Lott) is on indefinite personal leave. And Mariah runs Devon’s (Bryton James) company and supposedly manages Tessa’s career. Off-camera. They’re boring. And marriage isn’t going to make that better, 70% of you sigh.
Something To Do
Sure, why not, a smaller 30% of the Young and the Restless fans shrug. Go ahead, get married. Both women looked pretty at their anniversary party, they’ll probably look pretty in wedding dresses.
Sharon (Sharon Case), Kyle (Michael Mealor), and Lola (Sasha Calle) can make more toasts, everyone can wish them the best, and Mariah and Tessa can return to the back burner as honest women.
