On The Young and the Restless, Kevin and Chloe celebrated the new year by finally getting a word in edgewise and letting their loved ones hear their big news: They’re having a baby!

Let’s see now. Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) and Kevin (Greg Rikaart) are in love. They’ve just come out of hiding — and she’s been pardoned, which means she no longer needs to play dead. Chloe hasn’t cheated on Kevin — that we know of — so there’s no Who’s the Daddy on the horizon? That’s kind of weird for a soap opera pregnancy. A soap opera pregnancy usually needs drama. Should fans be expecting it here? What almost 11,000 viewers are expecting:
Living On the High Wire
Bring on the drama, 58% of the audience cheers! It’s the only way we’ll ever see Kevin and Chloe! We realize who’s the daddy is off the table, but that’s not the only option. How about a health scare for Chloe or the baby? Maybe the baby needs a fetal transplant of some sort.
And Connor (Judah Mackey) is the only available donor! Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam (Mark Grossman) owe Chloe one. Connor can see today because of Delia’s corneas. (And we know they’re genetically compatible.)

But Connor is also the most precious child who ever lived. Would Chelsea and Adam be willing to risk him to save the life of a child being carried by a woman who tried to kill Adam — twice? That’s what we call drama!
