When Adam first returned to The Young and the Restless, fans already knew he’d – accidentally – killed Billy (Jason Thompson) and Chloe’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) daughter, Delia. Within a few months, they learned that his deep, dark Las Vegas secret was that he and Chance (Danny Boaz) covered up a guy’s murder – but, don’t worry, Chance was an agent for the government at the time, so that means it wasn’t illegal.

And THEN we learned that when Adam (Mark Grossman) was 11 years old, he’d killed a loan shark who was threatening his mommy. We can see why Adam is beginning to suspect a pattern. But are fans finding the story interesting? What over 2,000 viewers told us:

Fast Forward

Who cares, 79% of the audience wonders? We didn’t know the victim, we don’t care about the victim’s daughter, Adam was a kid then so it’s not like anyone is going to be prosecuting, and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) has already used the intel to blackmail her way to the top of Newman Enterprises.

So what’s the storyline here, save Adam wallowing in self-pity and clinging to Sharon (Sharon Case) instead of turning to his fiancée? Fans are still on the fence over Adam as a character. They know for sure they’re not liking this.

Tell Me More

Only 21% of you are intrigued. You care about Adam and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), and even Connor (Judah Mackey). You want them to be a happy family, and Adam running off convinced he’s a danger to those he loves isn’t the way to accomplish that.

You are also really curious how this will affect his relationship with Victor (Eric Braeden) and his siblings. Victor has never met a family member’s issue that he hasn’t wanted to fix – his way. Will he help Adam… or make everything that much worse? The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
