The Young and the Restless has not exactly been must-see TV lately. Stories start unexpectedly, end unexpectedly… and nothing much happens in between.

The Young and the Restless Polling

Still, there are bright moments in between. Which are fans’ current favorites? How almost 11,000 of you voted!

At the Starting Line

Sharon’s (Sharon Case) breast cancer story literally started last week. She found a lump in her breast. She called her doctor. She got a mammogram. It was inconclusive. She got an ultrasound. It was inconclusive. She got a biopsy. The results came in on Tuesday.

This isn’t the middle. It’s barely the beginning of the beginning! And yet, viewers are obviously so unhappy with everything else going on that 68% of the audience is ready to dub this their favorite tale.

Maybe it’s because Sharon is a vet who hasn’t been front burner in a while. Maybe it’s because you believe soaps should educate as well as entertain. Or maybe it’s because you really, really hate absolutely everything else currently on the canvas.

Together Again, Together Forever

A much smaller crew, 21% of The Young and the Restless fans, went with Adam (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) reunion. Again, it’s hard to tell whether that’s because you’re truly happy to see this couple make a family with their needy offspring, or because you’re just hoping this will mean Connor (Judah Mackey) will stop whining. Whether you think it’s a pairing that’s meant to be… or you just want them away from Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon.

Dancing With Myself

The lowest number, a little less than 11% voted for Billy’s (Jason Thompson) new habit of monologuing to himself about how nobody understands him. It started with his wanting to kill Adam — which may have been a split personality, may have just been a craving for gum — but now we’re all invited to dive into Billy’s psyche. Nah. Pass. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
