Kids and candy often go hand in hand and telling kids you can’t have the candy right in front of their faces is a big deal. The Young and the Restless star Melissa Ordway did just that with her two adorable little girls to test their willpower and the results will melt your heart.

In an Instagram video, Ordway (Abby) and husband, Justin Gaston (ex-Ben, Days of our Lives), put two little bowls of gummies on their deck table but tell their daughters, Olivia, 4, and Sophie, 2, that they can’t eat the gummies until their parents return. The girls say they understand but do they?
Well, as soon as their parents begin walking back into the house, Olivia immediately follows and asks if she can eat the gummies after being thoroughly and sweetly told that no, she has to wait.

So, she heads back to the table, stares at the gummies, and waits. Little sister, Sophie, reminds her she can’t eat the gummies till Mommy and Daddy return. Olivia decides to trade her bowl with her sister and then they both walk away — we guess to resist all that temptation.
Of course, Ordway and Gaston didn’t want to torture these poor, sweet little girls, so they returned less than a minute later to praise their daughters on their discipline and listening skills.
