The Young and the Restless fans know that Loren Lott, who played Devon’s sister, Ana Hamilton, has an incredible voice and has been entertaining her social media followers with incredible songs. She has also joined in with the peaceful protests happening in Los Angeles. Now she has rewritten an Academy Award-winning song — and it’s incredible.
Loren Lott Amazes With Updated Lyrics
The song is Colors of the Wind, released by Vanessa Williams but written for the film Pocahontas by Alan Menken and lyricist Stephen Schwartz. While YR viewers got to hear Lott’s gorgeous voice when Ana would occasionally sing, the actress has also conquered Broadway, having starred as Timoune in Once On This Island. Now on her Instagram account, she updates that song.
“How accurate is this song!! Just want to remind you to walk in someone else’s shoes. These protests are full of so many different skin colors💙 This song always seems relevant!” she wrote of the tune, which was released in 1995.

You can watch her slightly-altered rendition in the Instagram post below. In the meantime, the bubbly actress’s enthusiasm is deeply missed in Genoa City. It would be great if the writers use this time to perhaps find a great reason for Ana to return to town.
Surely, Devon would appreciate having her back and helping him at Hamilton-Winters. After all, Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) is back in town and should really work on another album.
