Summer’s mostly unexplained absence has left The Young and The Restless (YR) fans scratching their heads. Fans want to know — where is Summer Newman?
Last fall, Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) gave Summer (Hunter King) a lavish trip to Mexico for her birthday. Since that time nearly a year ago, nobody’s seen her in Genoa City.
Was she kidnapped? Did she drink tainted alcohol on the resort? Is she languishing away in a Mexican prison? So far, it’s one of GC’s current biggest unsolved mysteries. (Do they even want to solve it?).
Thankfully, Hunter King may have provided at least a partial answer about the missing Newman sibling.

On her Instagram account, the actress recently shared a picture of herself with the cast of Life In Pieces reading through the show’s third season.
This CBS show’s exciting third season is set to debut on Thursday, November 2 at 9:30 ET.
The big question is, will King return to Y&R anytime soon, so that Summer will once again be on the canvas, or will the show recast the role? So far, nobody knows. What would you like to see happen?
