The Young and the Restless spoilers (YR) reveal Hilary isn’t giving up hope of being a mommy and she has the perfect father in mind!
The Mother Of All Questions
Hilary’s searched high and low for the perfect guy to father her baby. She’s poured through hundreds of profiles and even tried to settle once. Nothing worked out and all roads lead her to Devon(Bryton James).
Devon has all the qualities she’s seeking. He’s smart, loving, handsome, driven, and successful. He’s everything she wants and she’s not wasting any more time trying to get it!
Negotiating Terms
Of course, Hilary simply wants a baby – nothing more, nothing less. In fact, she’s willing to use her life savings to start a family. She offers Devon the “going rate” and hopes to sway his answer.
Paternal Instinct
Unfortunately, Devon’s not exactly down for being a donor.

He understands Hilary’s plight, but this isn’t the way he wants to father his first child – or any kid for that matter.
The only way Devon can see bringing a life into this world is to be the hands-on parent he never got. He just can’t see himself being a guy who sees his offspring from across the room and ignores the connection.
Misguided Meanings
Devon gives a hard no, but that’s not what Hilary hears. She takes her ex-husband’s response to mean he wants to raise a baby with her instead of not wanting anything to do with her at all.
It’s not like Hil to give up on her dream and she can be pretty ruthless when it comes to getting what she wants. Devon better be on high alert because if he’s not careful she may just get under his skin and come out on top after all!
