The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal an emotional reunion for Tessa and Mariah, but is everything really on the up and up here?
Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) is an emotional wreck when Rey brought her into the house and explained that the man’s gun terrified her. Once she calms down, Mariah (Camryn Grimes) wants to know exactly where she’d been for weeks.
Well, it turns out she was in Canada trying to give her sister and new life and identity, but some nefarious men arrived just as Tessa was on the phone with Mariah and that’s why she hung up.
Sharon (Sharon Case) isn’t sure she was buying what Tessa is selling and warns the young woman not to hurt her daughter again. Tessa swears she did everything she could to get back to Mariah like she promised — and she seems on the up and up, but of course, there’s more.
When Mariah and Tessa go out for some coffee to catch up, Tessa confesses all. Yes, the men are still after her and yes, they want $20,000 that Tessa doesn’t have, but is determined to get.

While Tessa doesn’t explain exactly why these men want this money, it’s clear Crystal got herself in more trouble than we ever imagined during her time on the streets. That is, if Tessa is actually telling the truth.
Even Mariah seems to think there’s something very fishy going on here and asks Tessa what will happen if she doesn’t come up with the cash. Tessa admits she doesn’t know, but she does know it will be bad.
Tessa’s story has a whole lotta holes, but Mariah wants to believe her. After all, she’s ready to move on with their relationship. But, how much danger will she be in if they move full speed ahead?
