At Jabot, Phyllis sides with Billy and wants Jack to step down. However, Jack refuses to give up his place at Jabot. Eventually, he storms out of the office and bumps into Kyle. The father and son head off.
At the studio, Hilary and Mariah convince Shauna to model prom wear for the live show. The shy teenager is reluctant but gives into Hilary’s request.
Back at home, Nick pulls Victor aside and updates him. The Newman patriarch is shocked, but not as shocked as Nikki.

Across town, Jack is back at the bar. This time, he is with Kyle. However, he is not drowning himself in alcohol, but calmly mulling over his situation with a cup of coffee. The father and son rehash the situation and come to a conclusion. They head back to the office.
At Jabot, Phyllis begins to plant the seeds of power in Billy. She wants them to work together to control Jabot and Fenmore.
Back at the studio, Hilary and Devon bring out Shuana and Charlie for the finale of their prom-themed show. The teenagers are smitten with each other and they both agree to go to prom together!
