The Young and the Restless spoilers promise a trying day for a comatose Nikki. She’s fighting for her life and it nearly becomes a losing battle. Thankfully, her subconscious is battling harder than her body.
Hope Is Fading
Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) prognosis is grim. There’s nothing left to do but pray for her to wake up and wait.
The Newman matriarch’s children take to her bedside to beg and plead for their mother to return to life. However, no speeches, no loving memories, and no amount of tears will be enough. She’s too far gone and may never come back.
In fact, in her unconscious state, Nikki’s trapped in her mind and sees nothing but a piano and a bright, white light. (Of course she sees a bright, white light.)
She hears the words of her beloved children, and even relive Reed’s (Tristan Lake Leabu) solemn confession. (Somewhere in her head she knows, which can come back to bite Reed later on…)
There’s a lot to live for but even more reasons to let go. Her life lately has been full of pain, turmoil, and stress.
A white light washes over the Genoa City queen, bathing her in peace and tranquility. Yes, she loves her family but her attraction to heaven is like no other.
Memories Of Love
Thankfully, she hears the only voice that really matters — her husband’s. Victor (Eric Braeden) appears in her visions and begs her to stay. It’s not her time yet and she needs to wait for him to come home.
Is his love enough to make her choose life? The beauty of the light is a strong pull with its promises of peace. But, Victor offers his heart and it’s still hers for the taking.
