Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Nate (Brooks Darnell) felt a need to stage an intervention for Devon (Bryton James) when Shauna (Camryn Hamm) expressed concern about his staying out late at night, going to concerts, and scouting new music.
Why would a man who runs a record label need to do that?
Devon defended himself for not being in the mood to celebrate Thanksgiving with Neil (Kristoff St. John), Lily (Christel Khalil), Cane, and the kids.

He’s in no mood to be thankful. Devon then insists that he has to work and party hard so that he isn’t spending every moment thinking about the wife and child he lost.
Nobody knows how he feels, for no one – especially in Genoa City – has ever suffered a similar loss. So leave him alone, already!
