The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal the real reason Celeste was not around when Lola almost died. This has been confusing us for weeks now and finally, the secret is revealed.
Celeste (Eva LaRue) was a little taken aback when she came to Genoa City and realized Lola was a fully grown, independent, successful woman. It was a nice surprise. Lovely, in fact, but boy, did she miss out on some milestones.
She wasn’t’ around for the food truck, the restaurant opening, Lola’s first serious relationship blossoming, or even her life-saving surgery.
Wait, what? She didn’t even KNOW? The mom Lola told Summer she talks to every day. Did Celeste wonder why she never heard from her daughter all those weeks she lingered in a coma?

The worst part is, Celeste does not learn about any of this from any of her children. No, that would have softened some of the blow. She gets the low down from a busy-body big mouth named Theo.
Celeste and Theo run into each other at Crimson Lights and the young man jumps into action. He introduces himself, buys her a cup of coffee, and accidentally lets one too many details slip. How was he to know Lola’s mom did not know about what happens in her life — especially an organ transplant!
Celeste forces Theo to give her all the dirt and he spills. He tells her about Lola’s plight, Kyle’s past in New York, and even the marriage to Summer (Hunter King). Celeste comes out of the coffee shop reeling and raging. How dare everyone keep all this a secret!
