The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, September 28 reveal a day of fear, shock, awe, and anger in Genoa City.

Phyllis raises the alarm as she worries about Billy making a bad situation worse, and Sharon turns to Rey after a major shock.

Cutting Him Off at the Pass
Billy (Jason Thompson) crashed Sharon’s bachelorette party to throw a pity party of his own.

He whined to Jack (Peter Bergman) that he gambled away more money than he can afford, so now Ashley (Eileen Davidson) can have him removed as CEO, put Traci (Beth Maitland) in his place, get rid of the blood Abbott clause, and ban Billy from Jabot for good! What did poor, innocent Billy ever do to deserve this?

At the same time, what did Billy do to deserve Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) standing by him, even as he digs a deeper and deeper hole for himself, writing checks his bank balance can’t cash.

Phyllis gets worried enough to take matters into her own hands. And not just for Billy, but for Nick and Sharon, too. Here comes trouble!

Comfort Food
And speaking of Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case), when last we left them, the star-crossed lovers were slowly approaching each other across a crowded room, he to tell her he’d slept with Phyllis, she to tell him she had a hand in burying JT (Thad Luckinbill). Romantic, huh?

Who will speak first? Who will manage to get a full confession out before Phyllis, Victoria (Amelia Heinle), or Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) do something clever – or desperate – to stop them?

And what will Sharon’s reaction be that she ends the night making a confession to Rey (Jordi Vilasuso), who definitely has an agenda of his own? Will Phyllis’s prediction that we might see the old Sharon come out again come true? Duck and cover, Genoa City!

The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
