In a tear-jerking episode, Jason Thompson shows his worth as the new face of Billy when his spirit visits his family and friends to apologize for his mistakes and promise that everything will be okay.
Now off life support and struggling to breathe on his own, Billy lacks brain activity and is fading fast. While the Abbotts pray for a miracle, Billy starts coming to terms with dying.
Scene by scene, Billy checks in with Jill, Jack, Victoria, Chelsea, and even his children. His primary purpose is to let them know how much he loves them, even if they aren’t aware that he’s even there.

In a surprising twist, Delia arrives to take Billy to the place he belongs. His heart-wrenching conversation with the little girl he lost years ago is certainly a tissue-worthy moment. Delia tells her dad that it’s not his time yet. Of course, she misses him, but she’s okay. Billy belongs with Victoria, Johnny, and Kate. They need him more than she does.
Thanks to Delia’s efforts, Billy comes back to the land of the living. His place is still on Earth, and his life still has a purpose. This may be the event that finally changes Billy and gives him the ability to move on from his daughter’s death.
