The Young and the Restless spoilers update for July 5 – 9, 2021, reveal a shoulder to lean on, a great escape, and the truth exposed.
The Young and the Restless — The Week Ahead
Poor Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). He’s single again, and for about the fourth time this year (or so it seems), Summer Newman (Hunter King) has walked out on him and effectively ended their engagement. This time feels a bit more permanent since Summer was driven out of town by Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and is now living in Milan.
When Kyle needs a shoulder to cry on and complain about how awful his life has been, who can he turn to? Tara, of course! She is ready to start a happy little family with Kyle and Harrison and wastes no time making it known to him. Today, she is his emotional support, next week could she be something more…
Y&R spoilers show that Kyle isn’t the only one suffering in Genoa City. Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) is still locked up in the looney bin (where she probably deserves to be) and wants out now! While she, herself, knows that she only faked her crazy, the rest of the town thinks she really did have a mental breakdown and won’t let her leave. So what should Chelsea do? Plot her escape of course! She can’t get out on her own though and needs some help. Later in the week, The Young and the Restless spoilers show she has a big ask of someone – but who could that mystery person be?
Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) believes she knows the truth about Richard’s murder and who really killed him — Sutton Ames (Jack Landron). So, it infuriates Amanda when Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) takes the blame and confesses to the crime. Amanda makes a vow to Naya that the truth will come out and set her free. And looking ahead at the Y&R spoilers, it would appear the truth comes out at Devon Hamilton’s party.

Summer took her exit and it broke Kyle’s heart. He fought to get her to stay but his pleas did not work. He moved back into the Abbott mansion and turned his attention to being the best dad ever to Harrison.
Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) stuck around town and asked Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) on a date. He has a party to attend and invited her along. She said no, though. It was nice to see him, his baby present was lovely, but Abby was not about to head out on the town with her ex, even on friendly terms.

Naya turned herself in for Richard’s murder and the news rocked Amanda. She planned to step up and defend her mom until Sutton got involved. A threat here and a snide remark there and Amanda turned her back on the whole situation.
