The Young and the Restless spoilers (YR) reveal Victor working to protect his family but possibly destroying his son in the process.

A Whole New Life
Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) have decided once and for all to pack up and start a new life out in California.

While it’s not exactly a popular choice, they are ready to leave Genoa City and the Newman family drama behind.

Nick has craved being his own man for years and getting out from under his father’s thumb. He feels getting away from the city he rules is the only way. Plus, it’s the best possible choice if he wants to keep his family intact.

Victor Puts On the Brakes
Unfortunately, Victor (Eric Braeden) already knows about their plans and he goes ahead with a drastic scheme to keep them around – well, at least the youngest family member.

He’s already stinging from Chelsea’s great escape with Connor and is not about to let something like that happen agin.

Family Is Everything, Right?
Christian is the only person left in town with a true connection to Adam. Victor isn’t about to let Nick just walk away with the precious little boy. He’s planning to fight and use every ounce of leverage he has to win.

In fact, Victor’s not wasting a single moment and serves Nick with an injunction stopping him from leaving the state.

Nick knew this was a possibility but he never thought his dad would go through with it. Nick’s already been put through the wringer when it comes to Christian so Victor starting a custody battle just adds salt to his wounds.

A War Zone
The Newman family will be torn apart during this court case. Secrets will come out, lies will be told, and knowing Victor, there will be some blackmail coming into play, too!
