There was a lot to unpack from Amanda’s musings and while The Young and the Restless spoilers don’t give anything away, it certainly got Soap Hub’s creative juices churning. What if she’s right and Rose wasn’t Hilary’s biological mother? What if their mom gave birth — and then gave the kids away? And what if that mom was really Dru?
The Young and the Restless Spoilers Wild Spec
As longtime viewers may recall, Dru (Victoria Rowell) was a wild child when she first arrived in Genoa City. She was unrefined, rebellious, and brought with her a whole slew of trouble. Well, what if she had actually left little bundles of trouble behind? Perhaps she came to town hoping to get a fresh start with big dreams.
While it may seem odd that she never gave those babies another thought, especially once she became pregnant with Lily (Christel Khalil), who knows what was really going through her mind? So why would this be a move the show would want to make now? After all, Drucilla has been dead for a long time (though fans continue to have hope she survived her fall off the cliff).
Imagine the drama for co-workers Amanda (Mishael Morgan) and Lily once the news of their shared biology is revealed? Amanda finally has a family member — something she has longed for her entire life — but that half-sister is also the one responsible for her twin sister’s death. Not only that, the fallout for Devon (Bryton James) would be mind-boggling.

He would have to deal with the fact that the love of his life was actually his adopted sister (though it could explain both him and Neil being drawn to her). Would that make things awkward for him and Amanda? Would it draw them closer now that they’re also sort of related? And while Amanda would still be without her mom, there are many people who could tell her about her.
And then there’s the awkwardness with new BFF Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). Just wait until Amanda learns that her bestie is the reason her mother died. After all, if it wasn’t for Phyllis, Dru never would have gone over that cliff. She should get the full story from Sharon Newman (Sharon Case)!
