The Young and the Restless spoilers for Monday, October 28 reveal a day of big decisions and major suspicions in Genoa City.

Jack and Traci learn a valuable lesson about not sticking your noses where they don’t belong, as a secret bubbles up from Dina and John’s past. Plus, Nick ponders political life, which didn’t work out so well for his mom.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers Highlights

Jack (Peter Bergman) was feeling unsettled. Work was boring, his love life was uninspiring. He went on a trip and ran into Sharon (Sharon Case).

Then, he decided to hand Jabot over to Billy (Jason Thompson) and Kyle (Michael Mealor)… and write a book about the history of the Abbott family.

It Was a Dark and Stormy Night

He, of course, roped in Traci (Beth Maitland) to actually write the thing. He’s more of a supervisor. They tried to question Dina (Marla Adams), which brought up the name “Stuart.”

Due to the one name per show rule, they were sure that meant Stuart Brooks. They found an old letter from Dina to Stuart, where she made references to a “wonderful, horrible” night. Again, they assumed that’s what Dina was referring to.

Family friend Doris (Mary-Margaret Lewis) stops by to fill them in on details Dina can’t. And what she has to say makes Jack and Traci reconsider ever having embarked on this vanity project.

Nick (Joshua Morrow), like Jack, isn’t feeling too inspired by his professional life. No, he’s not going to write a book about the Newman family. We already had that. It was called Ruthless, and it was about Victor (Eric Braeden) — as all books about the Newman family must be.

Nick is thinking of running for political office. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) encouraged him. Because when she ran for state Senate against Jack, that didn’t cause any problems at all.

Now an encounter with a councilwoman (Gillian White) makes Nick wonder if he couldn’t do her job – better. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
