The Young and the Restless spoilers for Tuesday, December 1, 2020, kick off the new month with the show’s 12,000th episode, which continues to play will they or won’t they with Chance and Abby’s wedding.

Devon (Bryton James) got ordained to officiate at the wedding, though he brushed it off as no big deal. You know what is a big deal? Mariah (Camryn Grimes) calling to tell him to stall, since the bride was currently locked in the bathroom, and the groom was admitting he’s been having second thoughts, too.
So how can Devon keep the assembled wedding guests entertained? Hey, maybe he can bring up how the father of the bride had an affair with the mother of the bride while still married to the woman he’s with now? That would be Victor (Eric Braeden), Ashley (Eileen Davidson), and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott).

Or he can remind the grandmother of the groom, Jill (Jess Walton), how much she loathed the mother of the groom, Nina (Tricia Cast), and used every dirty trick in the book she could think of to keep her from Jill’s baby boy, Phillip – the son she ignored so much that Phillip ended up living with the woman his father was married to when he died (she kind of killed him, too) for months before Jill even noticed! That should keep the guests distracted!

Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Chance (Justin Gaston) poured out their hearts to each other, both confessing they had cold feet about exchanging vows. Then they laid eyes on each other.
