The Young and the Restless spoilers weekly update for December 30 – January 3, 2019, is here! Catch up on what you missed, get a sneak peek at what’s ahead, and see our weekly specials, just for fans!

YR Weekly Recap

The holiday gave us a short week on The Young and the Restless, but even the festive atmosphere left plenty of time for divisive drama!

Several familiar faces returned home, with Fen making amends, Faith asking all about boys, and Ashley checking in on her family.

That last detail proved to be an important one, too, because the Abbotts were determined to have a memorable celebration with Dina, whose mind is fading fast.

There was also a shock in store, when Adam told Chelsea that he loved her and begged for a second chance… but his dark past seems like it might be on the verge of catching him. Suffice it to say that we can expect some fireworks! Here are the spoilers!

YR Weekly Teasers

Having learned of Adam’s desires – to say nothing of his recent history – Nick makes every attempt that he can to turn the tables on his brother.

While they descend into darkness, Billy follows a similar path, and Victoria grows increasingly worried about the man… and their relationship. Chance finds himself being the target of some scrutiny, too, first from Jill… and then from a vengeful Phyllis.

The Young and the Restless History

YR made its debut in 1973 and introduced more sexual undertones and younger characters to daytime soap operas. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, four decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more.

From Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) family machinations to Paul Williams’ (Doug Davidson) heroism to the adorable love story of Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Lola (Sasha Calle), YR knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting and daytime soap operas are shrinking.

Bringing the Drama

It is one of only four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), Days of Our Lives (DAYS), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB). YR airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for air times.
