YR Weekly Recap

We had a short week on The Young and the Restless, but even the holiday couldn’t keep things from getting crazy!

The Abbott family memoir was finished, prompting Jack to take a walk down memory lane as he recalled some of his best and worst moments from the past thirty years.

Speaking of bad moments, though, Connor’s present-day condition appeared to get worse, prompting Chelsea to move in with Adam so that they could both care for the boy.

Abby had her own struggles, too, when the Grand Phoenix was robbed… and the shoddy security system failed to do anything meaningful at all. The atmosphere is getting icy, and it isn’t just because of the weather! Here are the spoilers!

YR Weekly Teasers

Sparks seem to fly around Amanda, with Devon having trouble keeping her off his mind… and Billy getting caught with the woman during a storm.

Summer’s relationship with Theo is put into question, as well, as she begins to contemplate her future with the young man.

Elsewhere in Genoa City, situations may soon shift for Chance, when an interesting proposition comes his way.

The Young and the Restless History

YR made its debut in 1973 and introduced more sexual undertones and younger characters to daytime soap operas. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, four decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more.

From Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) family machinations to Paul Williams’ (Doug Davidson) heroism to the adorable love story of Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Lola (Sasha Calle), YR knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting and daytime soap operas are shrinking.

Bringing the Drama

It is one of only four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), Days of Our Lives (DAYS), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB). YR airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for air times.
