The Young and the Restless spoilers for Tuesday, September 1, 2020, reveal a casual dinner party for Summer and her parents becoming anything but casual.

Summer (Hunter King) invites Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) for dinner and drinks at The Grand Phoenix, and her folks find the entire thing to be suspicious. As they all sit at a nice social distance, Phyllis gets sick of the small talk and asks them to spill.
Kyle (Michael Mealor) tells his former (and future?) in-laws that yes, they do have news. Nick and Phyllis assume they’re engaged and Summer must be pregnant. No, that’s not what it is. It’s something much more simple. They’re moving in together, but is it REALLY that simple?
Nick demands to know what’s going on with Kyle’s divorce and he insists it’s happening but hasn’t quite happened yet. When Summer gets her dad alone, she tells the rest of the story. Not only does she want to move in with Kyle, but she also wants Nick to provide their abode.

Summer Has a Request
Remember that hot minute when Kyle and Summer were married last year (which feels like 10 years ago here in 2020) and Nick was so generously building the then-newlyweds a house? Well, they want that house when it’s finished. But it’s okay, they’re willing to pay for it.
Nick is hesitant at first but finally tells the pair they can have the house. Does that mean we’re getting a brand-new set? Will it be big enough to stay six feet apart? Will this seal the deal for Summer and Kyle’s relationship?
Whatever Lola Wants…
Maybe, maybe not. Lola (Sasha Calle) already regrets jumping into bed with Theo (Tyler Johnson) and tells him she wants to take things slower. Does she still have feelings for Kyle or is she ready to be without a man?
Is Summer jumping in too soon? After all, Kyle did hesitate in shock after Summer proposed they move in last week. Kyle is definitely wishy-washy (he must be friends with The Bold and the Beautiful’s Liam) and this may not go well for him. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
