The Young and the Restless spoilers show Jason Canela’s return to Genoa City as Arturo continuing into this week. The visit has reminded us of how much he fits into the show’s canvas. Soap Hub is playing arm-chair head writer to respectfully suggest a scenario that could potential bring the character of Arturo back for even more drama!

During this most recent visit, viewers saw Arturo relay to his brother Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) and their sister Lola (Sasha Calle) how much he loves being a dad to son Mateo. As fans recall, Arturo and Mia (Noemi Gonzalez) exited Genoa City to return to Miami after it was revealed that Arturo — not Rey — was the father of Mia’s then-unborn child.
But what if there’d been an error in the paternity tests and Rey truly was Mateo’s dad? How would this affect Rey and his bride Sharon (Sharon Case)? Plus, Abby (Melissa Ordway), also newly wed to Chance (Donny Boaz), split from Arturo, in part, because he’d been with Mia and their baby was a living reminder of that. If Arturo felt that the paternity twist meant he could leave Mia, then he’d be living the single life. How might Abby respond to that?
There’s even more potential to be mined if YR were to go down this path. And what if it wasn’t a simple human error that caused the results to read that Arturo was the dad? Arturo being the father left Rey free to pursue a relationship with Sharon, which meant that Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon were less likely to reunite.
