The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, January 16, 2020, promise another heartbreaking and tearful day for everyone’s favorite Genoa City mom. Sharon faces the reality of her diagnosis and later opens up to Nick about everything that’s going on.

Sharon (Sharon Case) has Her2-positive, hormone negative, stage 2 cancer. It’s a terrifying diagnosis but the good news is, her prognosis is quite good. She has a strong chance of coming out on the other side. Of course, that means some serious treatments are in order, starting with surgery and chemotherapy.
Family Panic
While Sharon’s learning what’s going on with her health, Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) worries herself sick. She’s scared for her mom, for herself, and for their future.
So much so she begs Nick to talk to Sharon and find out what’s really going on. Of course, this isn’t any of Nick’s business or his place, but he heads over to Sharon’s house anyway.

Nick all but demands Sharon let him in and gently nudges her towards telling him everything. He even brings up the note and lets her know he knows already. Poor Sharon nearly falls apart.
Sharon: I Have Cancer
Sharon reluctantly opens up and lets Nick in. However, she then swears him to secrecy. She’ll tell the kids soon, but she’s definitely not ready to tell anyone else. Not yet. She needs time to process her thoughts, get over the shock, and come to terms with what she’s about to face. Sharon needs time for herself right now.
