Love in the afternoon finds a home on CBS this week as romance takes over Genoa City. Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) is back and ready to resume her life with Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Abby (Melissa Ordway) is there as their buddy reveling in her own love life with Chance (Donny Boaz).
Then there’s Nate (Sean Dominic) and Amanda (Mishael Morgan) who share their very first date and learn a lot about each other — and they like what they learn, sealing things with a kiss.
Sharon (Sharon Case) leans on Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) as she looks towards her next step in fighting her cancer, while Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) vow to get through their latest Adam trials together. See if all for yourself in The Young and the Restless spoilers preview above.
The Young and the Restless History
YR made its debut in 1973 and introduced more sexual undertones and younger characters to daytime soap operas. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, four decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more.
From Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) family machinations to Paul Williams’ (Doug Davidson) heroism to the adorable love story of Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Lola (Sasha Calle), YR knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting and daytime soap operas are shrinking.
Bringing the Drama
It is one of only four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), Days of our Lives (DAYS), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB). YR airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for air times.
