The Young and the Restless spoilers for Tuesday, August 4, 2020 go back to May of 1992 for a nail-biting episode where Paul raced to save Lauren’s life, while Neil and Olivia kept a secret.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) is furious with Lauren (Tracey Bregman). Why? Because Sheila stole Lauren’s baby, that’s why! What woman wouldn’t be furious with the woman whose baby she stole!
Let us back up a little: Lauren was married to Scott (Peter Barton). Sheila wanted Scott. So she seduced him and got pregnant. Scott left Lauren for Sheila. Lauren didn’t tell Scott she was pregnant, too. Who knows why? This is before the excuse “reasons” were invented.
Sheila had a miscarriage but pretended she hadn’t. So when Lauren’s baby was born, Sheila switched him with a tot she purchased in an alley (where one goes for available tots) and passed off Lauren’s baby as her and Scott’s.

And Then What Happened?
So, happily ever after for Sheila, right? Not exactly. Lauren’s baby died. Paul (Doug Davidson) helped his ex-wife through the tragedy. Meanwhile, Sheila’s mother couldn’t keep the secret of the baby switch any longer and told Lauren that little Scotty was her son, not Sheila’s.
Sheila then proceeded to set both her mother and Lauren on fire in a cabin. It’s Paul to the rescue in this episode! Will he get there in time? (Is Lauren still on the show?)

Dru (Victoria Rowell) hates secrets. Well, when other people keep them. She’s a big secret keeper herself. So, naturally, her husband, Neil (Kristoff St. John), and her sister, Olivia (Tonya Lee Williams) are keeping one from her. Dru is going to be extremely mad when she finds out. And even madder when she finds out why they kept it. Duck and cover, folks! The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
