The Young and the Restless spoilers for Monday, August 31, 2020 end what has been a particularly difficult summer with a crop of people lining up to tell Adam why he is bad for Sharon. Also, Phyllis and Nick dread an announcement from Summer and Kyle.

Nick (Joshua Morrow) hated the idea of Sharon (Sharon Case) being Adam’s (Mark Grossman) therapist. She’s still fighting cancer. She’s just had surgery!
Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) hated the idea of Sharon being Adam’s therapist. She’s still fighting cancer. She’s just had surgery!
Sharon didn’t listen to either of them and got Victor (Eric Braeden) to lend her the Newman jet so she could hop on over to Kansas and continue being Adam’s therapist. Even though she’s still fighting cancer. She’s just had surgery!

So now, Rey is taking his objections to the source. He gets in Adam’s face about how selfish he’s being. So does Noah (Robert Adamson), who flies halfway around the world to tell his uncle the same thing. If Sharon won’t listen to all that mansplaining. Will Adam, at least?
Tell Me Lies
Summer (Hunter King) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) have something to tell Nick and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). They assume that the couple is engaged. Or Summer is pregnant. Or, God forbid, both.
Whatever happened to you’re an adult, Summer, we love you, Summer, we just want you to be happy, Summer?
Summer and Kyle obviously just want to tell her mom and dad that they’re moving in together – if they can ever find a place whose layout Summer doesn’t hate. It’s not even news. It’s more like a status update. They could have done it over social media. That way they wouldn’t have had to try so hard to look natural while sitting six feet apart.
