The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, December 4, 2020, concludes a week of Genoa City memories with Christine and Nina reconnecting, and Victor continuing to insist he knows what’s best for Adam.

Back in the late 1980s, the girl known as Cricket (Lauralee Bell) was enjoying an innocent romance with Jill’s (Jess Walton) equally pure-as-the-driven-snow son, Phillip III. Because Cricket was a saint, she befriended Nina (Tricia Cast), a street urchin whose newborn baby was kidnapped by an evil, black market adoption broker named Rose (played by a pre-Bold and the Beautiful Sally Spectra Darlene Conley).
Cricket brought Nina into her home, was kind to her, even introduced Nina to her friends. Only for the little hussy to seduce innocent Phillip and become pregnant with his son – now known as Chance.

Cricket insisted on being gracious about it, to the point of stepping aside and letting Nina and Phillip marry. (We saw the flashbacks with wee Chance during the Chancellor living room wedding montage.) Phillip died – we learned two decades later he’d faked his own death – and the now-grown women, Christine and Nina, actually became real friends. Watch their reunion on Friday!
You Got That?
Victor (Eric Braeden) had Adam (Mark Grossman) committed – for his own good, of course. And now Victor continues to dictate what should happen to his son next. Adam is obviously not capable of making rational decisions, and the fact that he and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) never got around to legally tying the knot makes Victor next of kin.
