The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal Cane almost enraged to see Reed’s back in town. The teen caused trouble for his angelic daughter in the past and he won’t let history repeat itself!
Cane Puts His Foot Down!
The meddling daddy isn’t letting the past go and heads straight to Victoria’s house for a little parental powwow. He wants to set a few things straight, including just how involved he thinks Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) and Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) should be.
Cane’s (Daniel Goddard) darling daughter almost fell prey to Reed’s bad boy ways once so he’s laying down the law. There has to be ground rules, a visiting schedule, no cars, and the teens under near constant surveillance. Yes, it’s overkill but he doesn’t care.
Reigning in Mattie may be easy but not so much with Reed. He’s been on his own for months and is barely even acting like Vicky (Amelia Heinle) is a parent, especially after this mess with his dad’s murder. He’s seeing his family as the enemy instead of his support system.
Vicky’s Between A Rock and A Hard Place
Plus, there’s all that guilt blinding Vicky’s good intentions. She’s willing to give Reed just about anything right now if it means he’ll stop asking questions while she continues to do damage control.

He (of all people) can never know his grandma killed his dad or why. The truth would crush him.
The only person Reed can lean on right now is Mattie. His dad’s murder and her mom being in jail for are ties that bind them. They understand each other on a deep level no one can understand.
Heading for Disaster?
If either teen gets wind anyone wants to keep them apart it may drive them even closer together. Teens are known to make bad decisions in the face of adversity and these two are no exception.
