The Young and the Restless spoilers for 2020 reveal big change as the New Year begins and we wouldn’t expect anything else in Genoa City.

According to Soap Opera Digest, you’ll see romance, adventure, intrigue, mystery and more for the Abbotts, Newmans, Baldwins, Devon Hamilton, and other denizens who live out their lives.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Romance Complications

Watch for this quadrangle to heat up as Theo (Tyler Johnson) continues his presence in the lives of newlyweds Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Lola (Sasha Calle). Theo and the Abbott heir are bound by blood via their grandmother, Dina (Marla Adams).

Will Summer Save the Day?

Theo’s friendship with Lola will test Kyle’s patience, possibly to the breaking point. Summer (Hunter King) will be in the position of having to play peacemaker, but can she do it?

The Abbotts

Jill (Jess Walton) opts to take a breather from traveling the world so she can spend more time in Genoa City. She’ll team up with Devon (Bryton James) to track down Colin (Tristan Rogers), who played them all for fools trying to scam them out of the late Katherine’s will.

Meanwhile, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) will make at least one more visit from Paris in order to take care of some unresolved business as Jack (Peter Bergman) is thrust into an unlikely role – that of peacemaker!

The Newmans

Watch for Victor (Eric Braeden, who will celebrate his 40th year at YR in 2020) to plan a big event for his family. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) likewise has a plan – are their goals the same or will they come into conflict?

What do you think? Post a comment!

Meanwhile, Nick (Joshua Morrow) continues to figure out what his relationship with Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) is as she continues to spend more time with her ex, Adam (Mark Grossman), for the sake of their son Connor (Judah Mackey).

All About Amanda

Elena (Brytni Sarpy) will continue to watch Amanda (Mishael Morgan) as she doesn’t trust her. She doesn’t want Hilary’s doppelganger to hurt Devon (Bryton James). Watch for Elena to bring both Nate (Sean Dominic) and Devon into a plan she has to help execute a special project.

Elena’s not the only woman in town who’s going to have to keep an eye on Amanda. The attorney’s blossoming relationship with Billy (Jason Thompson) will give Victoria (Amelia Heinle) cause for concern. Victoria will have to examine her dynamic with Billy once she learns of the relationship between her true love and this new woman in his life.

Big Rivalry

Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) has been spending time with ex-husband Nick, but is he the man in her future? Watch for the fiery redhead to start spending time with some of the town’s most eligible bachelors. Which lucky guy will spark her interest?

On the business-front, Phyllis still has a score to settle with Abby (Melissa Ordway) over the Grand Phoenix Hotel. Which lady will emerge the victor? Abby’s developing romance with Chance (Danny Boaz) will face competition from both an individual and happenings at the hotel.

Relationship Problems

Michael (Christian Jules LeBlanc) and Lauren (Tracey Bregman) were thrilled when Fenmore (Zack Tinker) was released from rehab and had him back for the holidays, but watch for their world to be rocked in the coming year when they learn news about a family member.

Speaking of relatives, watch for one to return complicating the life of Sharon (Sharon Case) and Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) as the New Year gets underway. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
