The Young and the Restless spoilers for Tuesday, August 11, 2002 feature an episode shot before YR shut down production for the COVID 19 pandemic, so don’t panic about how close the actors are standing to one another, and even if they kiss… or more.

Sharon deals with the after-effects of her illness (how timely!), while Billy and Lily are, once again, in conflict. Plus, Phyllis is still gunning for Abby.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers Highlights

When YR first launched Sharon’s (Sharon Case) breast cancer story, it was just another social issue tale. (Lily mentioned on Monday that she’d been through it, too. And so had Nikki’s sister, Casey.) But in the months since, many more Americans have been thinking about their health, have been worried about their immune system, and have learned that sometimes treatment and recovery takes longer than you expect.

Sharon had hoped she’d be well by now. But her first chemo course didn’t take, which means she now requires surgery. Chemo can depress your immune system so that Sharon has to be careful and keep her distance from people. Just like the rest of us. We feel your pain, Sharon! And we’re right here with you!

Battle Lines

Billy (Jason Thompson) and Lily (Christel Khalil) seemed to be getting along on Monday, working together, discussing future stories. But, by Tuesday, they’re back at each other’s throats, arguing about a new hire that one wants – and one doesn’t.

Phyllis and Abby: At It Again

Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) blackmailed Abby (Melissa Ordway) out of her hotel. Abby retaliated by buying another hotel and starting very loud construction on it as a way to drive Phyllis’ guests away. (They are living in a reality where people are still traveling and staying in strange places with strange, unmasked people.)

This is where we last left them. Now they’re going to yell about it some more. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
