Scenes from Genoa City: Wednesday, October 14, 2026
Matt (Roger Howarth) is back in Genoa City, the town he just can’t quit. He’s struggling with being the guy who abandoned his dark side in pursuit of redemption. Hitting his head in the accident has him questioning that side of him. He figured out that he’s done with trying to be the hero. Why bother when nobody is willing to give him a second chance or wish him happiness, except Phyllis (Michelle Stafford)?
It’s not enough to be a better man for himself. He wants others to automatically give him a second chance just because he apologizes for the terror and destruction he has caused. And he’s fixating on Sharon (Sharon Case), especially. In Y&R’s weekly video preview, we see Matt sneak into Sharon’s home, which clearly means any chance at redemption has gone out the window — at least in GC.
The photos above show a bruised and battered Matt confronting Sharon on her turf. And it will be during this intense interaction that Sharon is forced to make a tough decision. What is Matt’s ultimate goal here? Is he still searching for Sharon’s forgiveness, or does he even care about that anymore?
