It seems to be a day for serious discussions. This first one involves Jack (Peter Bergman) and Diane (Susan Walters). The couple is still reeling from their latest Patty (Stacy Haiduk) scare. They have no idea where she is or if she has left town yet. She’s like this constant presence in their lives, even though she’s told them she’s getting out of Dodge.
And another issue plaguing the couple is Jack and Nikki’s friendship. Diane isn’t too happy that Jack is basically rolling out the red carpet for Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), who’s ushering in a new cosmetics company to rival Jabot (in the Newmans’ minds, anyway). Diane is tired of Jack putting his friendship above her own feelings.
Needless to say, martinis are needed for this conversation as Jack makes a promise to Diane, according to the weekly teasers. Will Diane hold Jack to that promise?
Meanwhile, over at Society, Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) set up shop for their own conversation. Nick is out of rehab. And he is adjusting to life as an addict. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) has allowed him to ease back into work at Newman. And he hopes that Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) means it when he says he’s leaving.
But his focus has to be on him and his recovery. He apparently needs Sharon’s help with a tough decision. What will this decision involve?
