The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, August 14, force Adam and Chelsea to look back over their past — and wonder if they have a future?
Key Takeaways
- Adam and Chelsea wonder what happens next.
- Billy warns Lily against Cane.
- Nikki puts on a happy face.
Adam and Chelsea Have to Decide What’s Holding Them Together
Adam (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) were always a dysfunctional relationship. They lied to each other, they tortured each other, hey, remember that time Chelsea framed Adam for almost killing Rey (Jordi Visaluso)? Yeah, just typical star-crossed lover stuff.
The only thing these two really have in common is that they both have an incredibly inflated sense of just how awesome Precious Connor (Judah Mackey) is. That kept them together for a while. But will it last in the long term? They try to pretend that working together is a joy. But now that they’re under pressure from Victor (Eric Braeden), will that dissolve, too?
Billy Doesn’t Want Lily, But He Doesn’t Want Cane to Have Her Either
Billy (Jason Thompson) is engaged to Sally (Courtney Hope), and they’re expecting a baby. Billy doesn’t want Lily (Christel Khalil) back. We actually believe that. But we also believe that Billy doesn’t want Lily to be with anybody else, either.
Especially not Cane (Billy Flynn). Billy is mad at Cane. For… reasons. We’re not saying that Billy doesn’t have reasons. But we are saying that they are pretty childish. Just like his whining to Lily about how she shouldn’t be with Cane is.
Nikki Hides How Scared She Really Is About Nick
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) is used to ignoring reality and pretending that everything is fine. She has a lifetime of practice, pretending that Victor isn’t a complete monster.
So when Nikki has to act like everything is fine, even though she is deathly worried about Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) addiction, she does. It’s her brand.
