The spoiler photos for the next episode of The Young and the Restless take place in The Shadow Room. So this means lots of Noah, Sienna, and Matt Clark, because he can’t seem to stay away from the Genoa City bar that’s a clone of the one he owned in Los Angeles. Joining in on the fun are Sharon and a struggling Nick, who decides to hold Matt accountable for his actions. Here’s your photo preview for July 20.

Key Takeaways

  • Matt Clark’s presence at The Shadow Room keeps stirring up tension in Genoa City.
  • Nick confronts Matt while struggling to keep his own addiction under control.

Scenes from Genoa City: Monday, July 20, 2026

Matt Clark (Roger Howarth, a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee) is drawn to the clone of The Shadow Room Noah (Lucas Adams) and Sienna (Tamara Braun) created in Genoa City. All of his memories came flooding back while he was in this 2.0 version. And he seems drawn to talking to Sienna, too. Last week, he tried to catch up with her in a totally harmless way. Except that’s easier said than done.

While Matt and Sienna chatted, Noah walked in and witnessing the exes conversing set off his jealous side. One of the problems is that nobody knows whether Matt is truly on the road to redemption or whether what he’s selling is an act. Another problem is that nobody can forget his criminal past.

In the photos above, Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) arrive on the scene. This is after they had coffee at Crimson Lights where, of course, they talked about Matt. His presence is throwing them both for a loop. They don’t like that Victor (Eric Braeden) is letting their number one nemesis live on the ranch, either.

But Nick is struggling to keep his addiction in check. And according to the weekly teasers, he’s going to do his best to hold Matt Clark accountable for his actions, which shouldn’t be too hard. Matt says he has been trying to be honest with his motives, intentions, and his regrets.

He says he doesn’t want to be the guy that he used to be. Is he telling the truth? And after Monday’s episode, will Nick, Sharon, Noah, and Sienna truly believe Matt’s sudden change of personality and perspective and that he wants to repent for the pain and devastation he has caused?
