It’s a good bet that Patty’s not enjoying Jack’s reluctance and his apparent refusal to completely give in to his circumstances. According to the weekly spoilers, Patty threatens Jack. She might tell him to get on board sooner rather than later. Or else.
Meanwhile, Diane (Susan Walters) has been doing some of her own pretending with this Dr. Laurence Markham (Jere Burns), who happens to follow the teachings of manipulative psychiatrist Alan Laurent (Christopher Cousins). Last week, she tried to play along, probably in hopes of figuring out a way to get out of his house.
But Dr. Markham kept up his gaslighting tactics. He has been trying to get Diane to believe she had a nervous breakdown. In turn, Diane has told him that she doesn’t want to get transferred to a psychiatric facility, that she would rather stay at his house. All the easier for her to either escape or be found.
