The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, July 10, bring Ashley home as Jack’s life hangs in the balance. Is she the final piece Patty and Dr. Markham were planning on?
Key Takeaways
- Ashley’s return could make matters worse.
- Nikki tries to adjust to life in the dark.
- Victor has yet another major announcement to make.
Ashley’s Return Could Change Everything
Traci (Beth Maitland) told Kyle (Michael Mealor), Billy (Jason Thompson), and Diane (Susan Walters) that she’d called Ashley (Eileen Davidson) in Paris to let her know about Jack’s (Peter Bergman) stabbing, and that Ashley is on her way back to Genoa City now.
Ashley thinks she’s just there to support her family and her comatose brother, but what if this is exactly what Dr. Markham (Jere Burns) wanted? What if that’s why he threw his lot in with Patty (Stacy Haiduk) in the first place? Because Laurence Markham is actually (shockers!) Martin Laurent. And he has some unfinished business with the woman he almost successfully drove to a complete breakdown.
Nikki Faces the Challenges of Life Without Her Sight
Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Claire (Hayley Erin) brought Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) home, both optimistic that she’ll regain her sight shortly. Nikki was more realistic, but we have to assume her spirits were at an all-time low, as she pathetically thanked Victor (Eric Braeden) for “allowing me to come home.”
Isn’t it her home, too? Couldn’t she have sued him if she wanted to? We were so happy when Nikki stood up to her bully of a husband by matching out, and refusing to come back as long as Victor kept being… himself.
But now, we fear all of that progress has been wiped away. She’s vulnerable. And he’s about to lay down the law, once again. That can only be good for Victor… and no one else.
