Soap Opera Ratings Report

In the coveted Women 18-49 years old demo (AKA W18-49), YR came in first with a .43; BB was second with .41; GH was third with .38; and DAYS was fourth with a .30.

Each point equals 1.012 million viewers. What stories were drawing viewers to their screens during this time?

The Young and the Restless

On YR, Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) may be a great detective, but he’s not the best patient. The lawman kept getting ill, but he refused to go to the doctor. Victor (Eric Braeden) and Adam (Mark Grossman) emerged as the winners in the battle for Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) company. Additionally, Nate (Sean Dominic) opted out of his relationship with Elena (Brytni Sarpy), who isn’t over her feelings for Devon (Bryton James).

The Bold and the Beautiful

Romance was in the air on BB. Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) prepared to leave town so that Finn (Tanner Novlan) wouldn’t have to get ready to have another man’s baby. But the good doctor tracked Steffy down at her cliff house and gave her some surprising news — Vinny (Joe LoCicero) switched the results. Finn announced that he’s the father! Steffy not only accepted Finn’s proposal, but she took down the big picture of her and Liam (Scott Clifton) in her living room.

General Hospital

It may still be March on GH, but it was Father’s Day (or so Cyrus wanted it to seem) for Finn (Michael Easton), who read paternity test results — he’s Chase’s (Josh Swickard) father, not his half-brother. Chase sought solace from Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), who urged her ex to clear the air with his brother/father. Jason (Steve Burton) was charged with Franco’s (Roger Howarth) murder. Also, a pregnant Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) returned to Port Charles.

Days of our Lives

Finally, on DAYS, Ciara (Victoria Konefal) survived her surgery, but Ben was heartbroken upon discovering that Ciara has no memory of Ben’s redemption or her love for him. Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) donned a Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) mask to impersonate her, seduced a visiting Rex (Kyle Lowder), breaking Xander’s (Paul Telfer) heart in the process. Sami maintained her innocence in Charlie’s (Mike Manning) death.
