The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, September 16 features news of Victor’s death reaching other parts of Genoa City, while Victora tried to help Billy hang on to what’s left of his sanity, and Jack and Sharon reconnected out of town.
Victor’s (Eric Braeden) body was carried out of the Newman ranch. Nick (Joshua Morrow) blamed Adam (Mark Grossman) and while admitting that Victor was a difficult man, said Adam was their dad’s biggest disappointment. The Newmans mourned, even as they searched for Victoria (Amelia Heinle) to break the news to her.
Adam filled in Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), who tried to convince him it wasn’t his fault. Considering he told her he was messing with his dad’s medication, why would she think that’s what Adam needs to hear?
Adam said he didn’t want Victor to give him Newman Enterprises, he wanted to take it and destroy it. But now that Victor is dead, Adam was sad. So… we’re really supposed to believe he’s gone? OK, we’ll go with it.
Billy (Jason Thompson) doesn’t remember his earlier conversation with Victoria and swore he wouldn’t have tried to kill Adam. But then the flashbacks started, and Victoria wanted to know when he started chewing gum. Again, with the gum!
Victoria told her kinda-husband they are more powerful as a couple than the pain tearing up his head. They’d get through this together.
Of all the places in all the world, Sharon (Sharon Case) and Jack (Peter Bergman) ended up at the same spa. Sharon looked back over all of her terrible relationships and how she defined herself by the men in her life.
Jack said that Dina’s illness has made him see that there was more to the story of her abandoning her children. The exes agreed that they miss each other and were happy to reconnect. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
