The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Thursday, July 5 finds Hilary getting a teeny-tiny comeuppance for acting… like she always acts, while Billy reverted to old habits.
Plus, a story came out making Victor look bad… for acting like he always acts. And Dina acted like she always acts… which drove home a touch of reality for Jack.
Rethinking the Situation
Jack (Peter Bergman) is determined to sue Jill (Jess Walton) for the right to dig up Phillip’s body and test his DNA.
For that, he needed Dina’s (Marla Adams) testimony. Kyle (Michael Mealor) staged a mock trial, where Dina talked about Phillip and their great love affair, which happened while she was married, and he never mentioned to anyone or felt a need to acknowledge his son. Romance!

Jack was moved. A few minutes later, however, Dina couldn’t remember anything or anyone. Jack did a 180 towards nobility, and decided he won’t put his mother through a trial. He’s dropping the suit.

Neil (Kristoff St. John) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) stressed over a story – by Scott!
He still exists! – that pointed out that JT disappeared just as he was investigating Victor (Eric Braeden).
