The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, December 28 focuses on Nikki’s disappearance and the doctor trying to save her life.
A Missing Woman
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) disappeared without a trace, baffling her family, friends, and even Rey (Jordi Vilasuso). The detective jumped on the case and made the search for Nikki the top priority.
While Rey’s presence didn’t sit well with Nick (Joshua Morrow) at first, he did warm up to the idea. He and Rey even teamed up and shared teams, intel, and even the security tape of Nikki being taken.
Of course, neither of them could help but play dirty. Rey put a trace on Nick’s cell phone and Nick turned on the detective when push came to shove.
A Living Nightmare
The shock and mystery took a toll on Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni). They each panicked as dangerous thoughts crossed their minds. The hit and run and now the kidnapping seemed to be an act of revenge. Vicky was close to coming clean about the JT attack, but Phyllis put a stop to her spilling.

Victor’s Rescue Mission Exposed!
Their worry was for nothing, though. Nikki was safely tucked away in an ambulance with Nate (Brooks Darnell) by her side. Finding out she was on her way to Victor (Eric Braeden) gave her a second wind as she relayed their romance to the doc.
Sadly, Nikki took a turn for the worse when talk turned to Victor being framed. She insisted her husband was innocent and almost confessed when Nate didn’t quite believe her. Poor Nikki ended up so stressed, she took ill and the ambulance turned around.
Nick caught Nate sneaking into the hospital to get meds and Nate had to tell all. Nick followed Nate and tried to save his mother but the ambulance driver wasn’t having it.
