The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, March 7, sees Summer move one step closer to making a play for Kyle while Kyle and Claire plan a date night. Plus, Damian warns Holden not to go after Audra.
What Happened On Y&R?
Summer (Allison Lanier) ran into Jack (Peter Bergman) at Society. They discussed Sharon (Sharon Case) and Phyllis’ (Michelle Stafford) disappearance. Jack reassured Summer she wasn’t alone and pointed out Kyle’s (Michael Mealor) support. Summer clarified that she and Kyle were co-parenting Harrison (Redding Munsell). Jack told Summer she would always be an honorary Abbott.
Summer promised she’d never side with Victor (Eric Braeden) against him, and Jack assured her Harrison wouldn’t be caught in the middle of family conflicts. They agreed Harrison’s happiness came from his parents’ unity. Summer believed Claire (Hayley Erin) returning to work with Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) played a role in stabilizing things. Jack was relieved relationships had mended and reassured Summer of his support.

A Night Out
Meanwhile, Diane (Susan Walters) and Kyle discussed home renovations. Diane suggested she and Jack babysit Harrison so Kyle could spend time with Claire. Kyle hadn’t considered it but appreciated the offer. Diane encouraged him to prioritize his relationship, and they agreed the renovations should reflect Jack’s comfort while also incorporating her style.
At the Newman ranch, Claire asked Victor about influencing Summer to reconnect with Kyle. Victor denied meddling but admitted he felt sorry for Summer. Claire defended her relationship with Kyle, which promoted Victor to warn her about the Abbott family. Later, Kyle called Claire, wanting her all to himself for the night.
Later, Diane told Jack they would babysit Harrison while Kyle and Claire had a date. Jack approved. However, he mentioned concerns that Summer might want Kyle back. At Crimson Lights, Summer silently watched Kyle confirm his date with Claire.
Deep Past
At Crimson Lights, Audra (Zuleyka Silver) ran into Holden (Nathan Owens), and he tried to reconnect. She reminded him she was now with someone who treated her well. Holden mentioned staying in town due to Damian (Jermaine Rivers) and hinted at wanting company. Audra tried to find out about his connection to Damian, but Holden remained vague. However, he did say Damian had a temper.
At the GCAC, Nate (Sean Dominic) and Damian discussed Amy’s (Valarie Pettiford) potential treatment. Damian struggled to forgive his mother’s past lies. Holden showed up, and Damian reminded him to focus on work instead of pursuing Audra. However, Holden invited Audra to lunch when he returned.
