The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, March 5, sees Billy and Adam clash as Chelsea hopes they can all move forward. Plus, Victor and Jack do some clashing of their own.

What Happened On Y&R?

Adam (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) sat at Crimson Lights when Connor (Judah Mackey) texted to say he was staying late at school to try out for baseball. Chelsea worried, but Adam thought it was great. She worried it could be difficult for someone with OCD. Connor reassured them via text that he was aware of this. He admitted he hoped to impress a cute girl. Chelsea agreed to let him go for it. Adam and Chelsea high-fived as Billy (Jason Thompson) arrived, interrupting their moment.

Billy thought Connor would be great at baseball and offered to take him to the batting cages with his kids. Adam wondered if Billy was launching his attack on him and Newman Media that day. Billy dismissed it as misinformation, but Adam didn’t buy it. Billy said he wasn’t driven by hate anymore and insisted his company would be the opposite of Newman Media. As they argued, Chelsea nervously rubbed her neck.

Billy said he was no longer a victim and planned to use his privilege for good. Adam sarcastically mentioned that Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) was helping him, but Billy refused to take the bait. Chelsea intervened, and Billy noted that Abbott Communications had limitless potential. When Billy received a call, Adam left.

Chelsea apologized for Adam’s behavior, and Billy guessed she was tired of it. He suspected Victor (Eric Braeden) had tipped Adam off about the new company but assured her he wasn’t seeking revenge. Their conversation shifted to Connor and life at the ranch. Billy asked if she was reconnecting with Adam, worried she would get hurt.

When she brought up Sally (Courtney Hope), Billy said they were happy together. He reassured Chelsea that his business had nothing to do with the Newmans and warned her about Adam. She appreciated his concern but insisted she could take care of herself.

Adam returned and told Billy to leave. Before taking his coffee and exiting, Billy accused Adam of having an axe to grind. Chelsea questioned Adam’s behavior. Adam argued that Billy had no business in their personal life.

Chelsea wondered why Adam felt so threatened, but he insisted he wasn’t. He just wished Billy would find another industry to fail in. She pointed out that Billy was ready to move on and asked why Adam couldn’t. He admitted she was right and apologized, but Billy got under his skin. She said that Billy’s decisions had nothing to do with Adam.

Chelsea asked if Adam was truly over Sally, and he insisted he was. However, he wondered if she was over Billy. Chelsea hated seeing them constantly fight. They had to stop accusing each other of not moving on if they wanted to move forward. Taking her hand, he agreed, and she reminded him they were still figuring things out.

Clash Of The Titans

Meanwhile, at the GCAC, Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) ran into Jack (Peter Bergman) and Diane (Susan Walters). Victor said he was as strong as ever. Their conversation shifted to the Abbott house redesign, and Victor wondered why Diane was in charge. He pulled Jack aside and asked why Jack was encouraging Billy to compete with Newman Media. Jack defended Billy, but Victor remained convinced Billy would fail.

Jack suggested a truce, but Victor refused. Once Jack and Diane left, Nikki urged Victor to stop worrying about Billy. He told her he wasn’t concerned, dismissing Billy’s actions as revenge. However, Nikki wasn’t so sure, especially since Phyllis was involved.

Later, Jack and Diane discussed Phyllis possibly leaking information. Meanwhile, Billy called Sally, asking for a press release since Adam had already learned about the company. He also tried calling Phyllis.

Jack visited Billy, and they compared their encounters with the Newmans. They chould figure out who leaked information. When Sally showed up, she praised Billy’s press release and called him brilliant, dynamic, and sexy. They kissed.
