The Young and the Restless (YR) fans seem split down the middle now that Billy has decided to make a life with Phyllis–just as it seemed he and Victoria would work things out.
The Billy (Jason Thompson) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) reunion came out of left field for many, as their previous time together was an illicit affair that seemed more like lust than love.
Phyllis was having a hard time adjusting to life with Jack (Peter Bergman) after the Marco disaster, and Billy was adjusting to a life without gambling after nearly dying in a car accident. Their relationship was sexy–but also somewhat superficial.
Phyllis tried for months to win Jack back, and recently, Billy was growing closer to Victoria–the mother of his children–after her debacle with Travis.

When one fan asked on Twitter why the Billy and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) reunion was scrapped, actor Jason Thompson responded with this:
Is he trying to tell us never say never and there could be a future for the former marrieds somewhere down the line? After all, triangles are what makes soaps go ’round, and it can’t be smooth sailing for Billy and Phyllis from now on, can it?
Remember, a little conflict from Billy’s ex-wife can go a long way… or is Phyllis the speed-bump on the road back to Billy and Victoria?
