The Young and the Restless felt rather uneven this year, with stories starting, abruptly stopping, then everyone carrying on as if they’d never happened… or still talking about them long after anyone was interested in listening. So which tales did fans pick as the best of 2019? Here’s what you had to say:

The Young and the Restless: Know Him From Adam

Welcome home, 25% of you cheered for Victor’s (Eric Braeden) prodigal son! Sure, he and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) fretting non-stop over a bratty Connor (Judah Mackey) isn’t exactly Must-See TV.

But watching him mess with Sharon’s (Sharon Case) head was fun, as is his friendship with Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). And now that Phyllis is hinting about what she knows regarding Adam and Chance’s (Danny Boaz) Las Vegas adventures, you’re even more intrigued!

It’s Alive

An almost equal 24% of the audience most enjoyed the reveal of JT (Thad Luckinbill) still being alive and the end of Victoria (Amelia Heinle), Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Sharon, and Phyllis’s legal problems. You didn’t see it coming, and are looking forward to JT’s possible return down the line — and not as Nick (Joshua Morrow) in a JT mask…

Her Name Was Lola

A full 21% of The Young and the Restless fans voted for Lola’s (Sasha Calle) liver transplant, which was triggered by being pushed into a swimming pool, and then a coma. Summer (Hunter King) parted with a part of her organ in exchange for Kyle (Michael Mealor) marrying her. That didn’t last long. Lola got the liver, the guy, and the dream job. This was kind of Lola’s year!

Phyll Her Up!

Phyllis quit being Gina Tognoni and returned to her original portrayer, Michelle Stafford, and 18% of the viewers couldn’t be more thrilled.

Kill It

Finally, only 12% enjoyed Victor’s fake death. He faked it, people cried, he came back from the dead, everyone still loved him. This is not a story. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
