On The Young and the Restless (YR), Ashley and Abby ran a DNA test on Jack after Dina (Marla Adams) babbled about him not being John’s son.
That test said that Jack (Peter Bergman) wasn’t an Abbott. (Though they compared his sample to Traci’s, and who says she’s John’s? Dina may have gone for a cuckold triple crown!)
When Jack found out, he ran a second test, this time comparing his DNA to Billy’s (Jason Thompson). Billy’s DNA had been tested before, as his mother, Jill (Jess Walton), was hardly more faithful than Dina. That test also said that the two weren’t biologically related.
But, are fans still holding out hope it was all a mistake? Over 6,000 votes were cast!

Jack is John’s son, 84% of you feel certain of it.
Forget Dina, forget DNA, those results have to be wrong. You’ve watched Jack for 40 years, and the most consistent, important thread throughout his entire life has been a desire to make John proud.

Jack defines himself by how he compares to John. Jack wants to succeed at Jabot in order to make John proud. Jack even ruined his relationship with Ashley (Eileen Davidson) by stressing that she wasn’t John’s child – while he was. Jack has done some horrible things in his life and he deserves punishment. But, he doesn’t deserve this.
You Reap What You Sow
After the way Jack lorded it over Ashley, this is the perfect punishment, 15% of the audience crows. It’s poetic justice at its very best. One DNA test can be wrong, but two are a strong suggestion that Jack should get used to the new normal.
He and Ashley can still come back and run Jabot, and along with Billy, they can both make John proud. But they can do it on equal footing now.
