Who periodically cheat on each other. And marry other people. And have children with other people. But, it’s still Nick and Sharon for the win.
They can’t live with each other, they can’t live without each other. They can’t be happy together, they can’t be happy apart.
But that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t keep trying. Primarily for your entertainment value. So you’re a little sadistic. Nick and Sharon are the definition of masochism, so it’s a perfect fit.
Nick learned everything he knows about relationships from his parents, Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), who are just as co-dependent and toxic as Nick and Sharon. The younger couple never had a chance.

Power Couple
Nick dresses better when he’s with Phyllis, 27% of the audience points out. He’s more fun, too. Sure, Summer (Hunter King) is a walking disaster zone, but don’t let the child affect how you feel about her parents. (That whiny, manipulative Faith is no prize, either.)
Phyllis wants she and Nick to be Genoa City’s power couple, and that sure beats Sharon constantly nagging Nick about turning into his dad. Phyllis gets off on Nick’s dark side.
Besides, Sharon kicked Nick to the curb. Accept it and move on, dude. You’ve got plenty of other options.
